SOME STATS

I have a BA in Digital Media & Communications and a Minor in Engineering, Degrees in Business Management & Entrepreneurship, Social Media Marketing, and Web Business Development & Marketing. I bring twelve years of experience in video production, video editing, videography, audio engineering, organizational management, as well as 5 to 8 years’ experience in various categories such as: web design, social media campaigns, B2B and B2C marketing and communications, PR functions, inbound marketing, SEO and SEM, and working with establishing digital brands from Senators, Congressmen, other government affiliates, Music Artists, Non-Profit Organizations, Big Corporations, International, and Small Businesses. I have been blessed to have so many experiences in a very diverse list of fields at a young age (but don’t let my age fool you, in my opinion, age doesn’t define skill sets). Proficient in creating brand awareness content/advertising using MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite Software. International media, PR, and correspondence experience (i.e. China, Ecuador, Mexico, India, Nigeria). Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment with strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. I engage with an audience that has had a reach as high as  350 Million Impressions on Social Media (Twitter) among various discussions (typically through Twitter Chats).

I’ve said all this to say that is nothing if I don’t continue to learn and strive to be better every single day. Listing achievements and skill sets don’t mean anything if you can’t back them up and come through when it counts, the words are in vain. Thus why even though I am proud of how far I have come, I acknowledge that I have so much left to learn and so much further to go.

I AM...TROY ANTHONY SANDIDGE

I AM JUST ANOTHER LOGIN FROM CHICAGO

I AM A NOBODY, TRYING TO BE A SOMEBODY, WHO WILL SETTLE FOR BEING AN ANYBODY AMONG EVERYBODY

— Troy Sandidge (My own personal quote to describe me among many)

I am simply Troy. I am the product of a hardworking, caring, and supportive father and mother. I am strong willed and determined to not only achieve success but mostly help others achieve theirs. I have a relentless hardworking mentality. I am a self-starter and a people person. I enjoy challenges.  I am interested in work that makes a difference but also work that allows me to satisfy my creative side but also my industrial side. I want opportunities to use what I know and love to do best to make things happen! Everywhere I go and everyone I interact with, my first thought is I would to capture this scene or interview this person to tell stories to the world. But that’s my blurb I usually give, you can learn more in depth about me in various categories and my viewpoints on various topics both professional and personal by just browsing around the website. You can always send me questions to answer directly below.

I AM...FROM NORTHWEST INDIANA (AKA "THE REGION" / 219)

EVERYONE IS JUST A KID FROM SOMEWHERE

Well, my “somewhere” is Northwest Indiana, specifically Merrillville, Indiana. I may live in the Greater Chicago Area now but I will forever be a Hoosier at heart. The ironic thing is, I was a “homebody” and the one who thought I would never leave the area and then boom, I’m off.  I’ve been to the other side of the world to China and back and various other places. My thing is, no matter how far or high you go…never ever forget your roots and where you came from.

I AM...AN ALUM OF VALPARAISO UNIVERSITY

ALL HAIL THE CRUSADERS!

I graduated from VU in May of 2014. Major was Digital Media & Communications. Minor was Engineering. I think everyone knew me as the kid who lived in the Media Labs & Engineering Labs. I spent so many hours there that I’m sure at some point they’ll have to name a lab space after me (I hope, but probably will require a donation, well let’s hope I “make it big” one day). I thank all the professors of both the Communication & Engineering Departments for everything in helping me get to where I am now. I could start naming professors and staff but I’ll save that for a blog post…
